Full Job Description

HAPPIER is building a community for creators with the help of creators! We are looking for energetic, passionate, and professional Line Cooks to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up kitchen stations. Line Cook's duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our members' and guests' satisfaction. We are seeking exceptional individuals who provide a luxurious guest experience- line cooks with a background in fine dining venues.

The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. Because we are a small team, we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. These are FT positions for the Members Club, and you must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Facility

The Facility is a multifaceted destination that creates space for our everyday lives. Its raw minimalist architecture and pragmatic design set the tone for an environment to work, create, exercise, nourish, connect, and escape. The facility is a private membership club where an inclusive spirit orients exclusive access. 30,000 sq. ft of facilities, comprised of workspaces, art studios, recording studios, conference rooms, private bars and a restaurant, a Wellness Spa & Gym, a pool, and a rooftop deck. A consciously cultivated community connecting people of different ages, backgrounds, professions, and identities.

Responsibilities

  • Create HAPPIER experience for all guests, members, and coworkers
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Answer, report, and follow the executive and sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Support business in all areas of 154 space as needed
  • Maintain a professional and polished appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Participate in executing on-site events as needed
  • Complete assigned side work
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven 1-2 years of cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Demonstrate a friendly, high-energy personality with a positive and team-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills are a must
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and works well in an environment with time constraints
  • Able to handle last-minute changes
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • FULL AVAILABILITY- daytime hours, evening hours, and weekends

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $22.00 - $24.00 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
