Full Job Description

Our client, a leading multinational business conglomerate with operations across various industries and geographical locations, is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join their global tax team.

The International Tax Manager will play a crucial role in managing the company's international tax affairs, ensuring compliance with complex multinational tax regulations, and optimizing the company's global tax position. This position requires a deep understanding of international tax laws, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage international tax planning and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions and operations
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Coordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to manage global tax risks and opportunities
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities in various countries
  • Provide technical advice on the tax implications of international business decisions
  • Stay current with changes in international tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation or International Tax preferred
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is a bonus
  • 8+ years of experience in international tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of US and international tax laws, including OECD guidelines and BEPS initiatives
  • Experience with tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and financing transactions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing diverse teams
  • Proficiency in tax software, ERP systems, and MS Office suite
  • Ability to travel internationally as required (approximately 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multiple industries represented in the conglomerate
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Familiarity with tax technology and data analytics tools

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package. ($150k - $170k)
  • Annual bonus of 25%.
