Designed to provide exposure to various aspects of film distribution, such as marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions, this collaborative internship will shape your career interests and set you up for future success.

But that's not all! As an intern, you'll have the chance to receive mentorship from industry professionals who are deeply passionate about supporting the next generation of filmmakers and industry leaders.

Outreach + Partnership Intern Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on marketing and distribution strategies to gain knowledge of the competitive market; create presentations for case studies on previous successful releases;
  • Conduct research and establish connections with community organizations, small businesses, and digital influencers for current and upcoming NEON releases;
  • Manage logistical aspects of NEON's College Ambassador Program, including collaborating with students to arrange on-campus screenings, events, and marketing campaigns;
  • Handle logistical responsibilities such as scheduling conference calls with filmmakers, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing film festival invitations.
  • While primarily in Outreach and Partnerships, you will also be assisting in other department projects, including distribution, acquisitions, and publicity as needed.

Compensation

Please note the following details about this internship opportunity:

  • Our internships are paid and offer a minimum duration of 12 weeks, providing you with ample time to gain valuable experience.
  • As a valued member of our team, you will receive an hourly salary of $16.90.
  • We value your commitment to learning and growing. Therefore, we prefer candidates who can commit to being available 2-3 full days a week for the entire internship term, working on a part-time basis for approximately 16-24 hours per week. You will have the flexibility to choose your schedule so you can easily fit it into your school calendar.
  • Your internship will primarily take place at our New York office, offering you a vibrant work environment in our Soho office.
  • Please note that you will be responsible for arranging your own housing and reliable transportation in the New York area.

Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) prior to participation in the internship program, or currently participating in a NEON Internship.
