We are currently seeking applications from interns to join our Home Entertainment/Digital Distribution team. We are looking for proactive, passionate, and motivated individuals who are excited to gain hands-on experience in the independent film industry, specifically in distribution. This immersive program aims to empower you to showcase your skills and establish a strong foundation for your future.

It is designed to expose you to various aspects of film distribution, including marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions. This collaborative internship will shape your career interests and prepare you for future success.

Digital Film Distribution Intern Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the timely delivery of creative materials.
  • Manage metadata resources and communicate internally to ensure the accuracy of all fields (synopsis, cast, MPA rating, etc.).
  • Monitor the competitive landscape for quantitative updates and trends across the TVOD, SVOD, and AVOD spaces.
  • Assist in monitoring placement across platforms on VOD/EST release dates.
  • Update direct-to-consumer websites with assorted materials, including artwork and metadata (Video Store, Merch Store, Marketing, etc.)
  • Process invoices.
  • Research marketing and distribution plans to learn about the competitive landscape; build decks for case studies on past successful releases.

Compensation

Please note the following details about this internship opportunity:

  • Our internships are paid and offer a minimum duration of 12 weeks, providing you with ample time to gain valuable experience.
  • As a valued member of our team, you will receive an hourly salary of $16.90.
  • We value your commitment to learning and growing. Therefore, we prefer candidates who can commit to being available 2-3 full days a week for the entire internship term, working on a part-time basis approximately 16-24 hours per week. You will have the flexibility to choose your schedule so you can easily fit it into your school calendar.
  • Your internship will primarily take place at our New York office, offering you a vibrant work environment in our Soho office.
  • Please note that you will be responsible for arranging your own housing and reliable transportation in the New York area.

Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) prior to participation in the internship program, or currently participating in a NEON Internship.
