We provide all of the software needed to run a thriving practice + administrative services like insurance contracting, eligibility verification, customer support, claims billing, and even patient acquisition.

About the Role:

Berry Street is looking for an Insurance Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in overseeing the revenue cycle management process and ensuring the smooth flow of claims and payments from insurance payers. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including benefits verification, claims submission, payment posting, denials management, and revenue optimization. This role requires a strong understanding of medical billing operations, insurance regulations, and revenue cycle management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the revenue cycle management team and processes, including benefits verification, claims submission, payment posting, denials management, and revenue optimization
  • Implement and optimize revenue cycle management strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize revenue and minimize denials and delays
  • Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement, and develop and implement action plans
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance payers, ensuring accurate and timely claims submission and payment processing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue cycle workflows and resolve operational issues
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to revenue cycle management

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or related roles, preferably in digital health / virtual care
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing operations, insurance regulations, and revenue cycle management best practices
  • Experience managing and leading a remote revenue cycle management team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with insurance payers

Target salary range: $100,000-120,000
