With Intelligence are currently recruiting an experienced people manager from the investment industry with an extensive network and understanding of the private markets sector for our Head of Women’s Summits opportunity.
This role is responsible for the overall success of the Women’s Summits portfolio and is the brand figurehead, representing the brand on stage at our events and externally in the market. The portfolio lead brings experience of working in private markets, a strong network of industry contacts and operational excellence. They ensure that each event launches on time, hits key milestones and targets through tenacious attention to detail, excellent project management and problem solving.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and a track record of bringing out the best in their people. This is a senior leadership position for a strategic thinker with the gravitas to grow the portfolio and drive change.
Our Women’s Summits brand, consist of a series of premium conference experiences that have been providing industry insight and connections to a global community of senior women in private market investment for the last 17 years. Women’s Summits portfolio consists of 8 events, 5 based in the US and Canada, 2 in Europe and 1 in APAC.
Key responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the event portfolio; ensuring excellence in conference content and delivery of high-quality audiences
- ‘Face’ of the Women’s Summits, representing the brand throughout the industry and is on stage at our events
- Leverages their relationships within private markets to secure high-quality speakers and support the overall growth of the Women’s Summits.
- Works closely with commercial to ensure the events deliver on client expectations. Where appropriate liaises with high-value Summit sponsors to correctly place them on the Summit agendas
- Responsible for ensuring events are launched on time and milestones and KPIs are achieved.
- Leads on optimising the plans and processes of the content team to deliver best-in-class events; delivering efficiencies through process streamlining where possible.
- Mentor to the content team, to develop and deepen their industry knowledge
- Works effectively with event stakeholders such as commercial; operations, marketing and Investor Relations to deliver best-in-class events
- Works with the Operations team to ensure costs are managed effectively to deliver on budgeted contribution whilst ensuring excellence in customer experience and enabling revenue growth
- Supports the Head of Audience with the definition and articulation of the proposition for each event in the portfolio. Understands the complexities of the markets the events operate in.
- Researches and validates event development and launch ideas; working with the Head of Global Events.
Requirements
- Extensive experience of working in private markets with a strong network of relationships
- Proven Experience and understanding in the private equity industry
- Seasoned people manager with experience of managing senior team leaders
- Experience of bringing teams together and fostering collaborative working practices
- Proven ability to manage change and bring people on the journey
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task
- Numerate and commercially aware
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker who is passionate, energetic and inquisitive
