We are looking for a Head of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting
Compensation: $210,000 - $235,000 salary, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits.
This is a newly-created position that will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and work very closely with our CAO and Global Controller on our path to IPO. This is a unique opportunity to build-out the financial reporting function and systems to serve external and internal stakeholders and tell Rokt’s story to investors. In addition, the person will be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards, ensuring positions are well documented and positions are agreed with the external auditors, and that the accounting processes support adherence to the positions. In addition, the person will have oversight of our equity Platform, ensuring equity awards are administered accurately, timely and in compliance with tax requirements, as well as the accounting and disclosure requirements of Rokt’s equity awards. You will work proactively and closely with the Payroll, People, Accounting, Investor Relations and FP&A teams, as well as our external auditors, and have frequent interaction with executive management.
About the role
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP in line with SEC requirements and timelines. Coordinate sign-off on the financial statements with the external auditor, including the preparation of related disclosure checklists and other documentation required.
- Preparation of financial statements outside the US in accordance with statutory requirements and timelines. Coordinate sign-off on the financial statements with the external auditor, including the preparation of related disclosure checklists and other documentation required.
- Preparation of internal monthly management reports in coordination with accounting and FP&A.
- Support the preparation of the S-1, Earnings Releases, Investor Presentations, and other documents, owning all GAAP and Non-GAAP financial information
- Ownership of technical accounting positions, policies and procedures, including preparation of position papers and related materials. Work closely with the external auditor for sign-off. Work closely with the accounting department to ensure processes align and support the requirements of the accounting standard.
- Ownership of the Disclosure Committee, certification processes, and reporting of the activities to the Audit Committee
- Support ad-hoc requests for information such as BEA requests
- Oversight of the administration of Rokt’s equity plans through Shareworks, and the accounting and financial disclosure of all equity awards
- Ensure systems which support the preparation of the financial statements are robust and accurate, including Shareworks for equity disclosures and a financial reporting tool
Requirements
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years experience, with public company experience a must, including significant experience with SEC reporting
- Experience with financial reporting, GL and equity platforms required (e.g. Workiva DFIN, NetSuite, Shareworks, etc)
- Experience working in a global environment
- Experience with an IPO a plus
- Experience with Adaptive Planning a plus
- Process-oriented and ability to work cross-functionally. Focused on creating durable and efficient processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Strong communicator and excellent writing skills.
- Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into workable steps to ensure accounting and operational processes support compliance with accounting standards
- Experience in a high-growth, public company a plus
