The Global Tax Manager will report to the Global Tax Director and be part of a world-class finance organization at Oura.
- Own all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns.
- Collaborate with external partners to complete indirect international filings and ensure accuracy and timely completion
- Review the tax provision prepared by external partners for financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Assist with the review of quarterly transfer pricing calculations and journal entries
- Review various vendor and partnership contracts to ensure tax-efficient structures and compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Work with global teams to manage the tax considerations of global expansion, including tax registrations, tax filings, and tax system updates
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all tax notices received from federal, state, local, and international tax authorities. This involves promptly reviewing, researching, and assessing each notice to determine its validity and implications
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting related to taxes
- Work with vendors and customers to exchange and validate tax certificates as required for sales and procurement activities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all tax-related decisions, including the analysis of new tax laws, internal discussions, and the rationale behind tax positions taken by the company
- Implement strategies for routing transactions in a manner that optimizes tax outcomes and accurately reflects the tax liability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of tax work in a public accounting firm and/or corporate environment (includes international tax or transfer pricing experience)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. CPA required.
- Prior experience managing tax compliance and provision processes
- Strong technical tax skills with emphasis on tax issues related to tax planning, indirect taxes, international tax, and transfer pricing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to research sophisticated tax matters
- Proficiency using NetSuite and Avalara is preferred
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Table, lookup functions)
- Outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills on sophisticated tax matters to broad audiences

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
- Region 1: $142,000 - $158,000
- Region 2: $135,000 - $150,000
- Region 3: $128,000 - $142,000
