Geologist

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Geologist in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assignments and schedule of inside and outside expert consultants
• Solid working knowledge of geology/hydrogeology and contaminant fate and transport.
• Manage the database manager and the large quantity of hydrogeologic and groundwater quality data
• Hydrogeologic and groundwater-quality data analysis and presentation
• Groundwater elevation contouring and flow field analysis.
• Working knowledge of groundwater remedial action technologies
• Administrative task-management functions, including planning and estimating scope and costs.
• NJ LSRP program experience a bonus
• Technical report and work plan preparation
• Client and regulatory correspondence
• Evaluate data to (1) support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, (2) delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and (3) modify and optimize post-remedy long-term-monitoring programs
• Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders

Requirements

• Previous experience with task management to include controlling scope, schedule, budget, and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Requirements
• Working familiarity with NJDEP regulations
• Cost estimating experience – candidate should have experience with routine environmental tasks (e.g., field sampling technologies and methods, lab coordination, subcontractor oversight, etc.) to develop cost estimates for establishing budgetary estimates
• Previous environmental sampling experience
• Previous experience with subcontractor procurement and management (e.g., preparation of request for bids, preparation of scope of work, ensure work is completed in accordance with scope of work and H&S requirements)
