Who We Are Looking For 

We are seeking an exceptional Full-Stack Technology Engineer with a passion for transforming innovative ideas into high-impact technology at Farrer Capital. 

In our dynamic teams, you'll bring your creations to life quickly and effectively.  

You will design system architectures, develop platforms, and build web frameworks, utilising state-of-the-art tools and techniques such as distributed computing, natural language processing, and machine learning.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and implement technological tools that advance data extraction, trading strategies and portfolio management 

• Develop high-performance platforms for extensive data research  
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software pipelines with Docker, Airflow etc using various DevOps tools
• Implement responsive front-end interfaces using modern frameworks and technologies
• Ensure backend services and databases are optimised for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and data scientists to integrate diverse data sources into the firm's trading platform
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to process large volumes of financial data efficiently

Requirements

About You 

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with at least four years of industry experience 

• Strong programming and design skills with a deep knowledge of at least one backend language (Python) is required 

• Effective communication skills for working within a complex, technical team environment 

• Intellectual curiosity and a drive to solve challenging problems using advanced technology
