Freelance Junior Digital Designer

Tarte is seeking a Freelance Junior Digital Designer to support graphic design & production needs for the Digital Design team. This role is integral to maintaining Tarte.com, TikTok Shops assets as well as paid media for product launches and promotions. 

Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day designs: high volume of  daily high volume of PDP imagery for tarte.com and TikTok Shops
• Design and resize all artwork/product image updates across tarte.com & TikTok Shops for ongoing seasonal launches and promotions
• Siloing & pre-production work for imagery used in promotions and launches
• Updating website regularly along with regular image maintenance
• Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation
• Slice and prep weekly editorial features for launch
• Proof and perform QA
• Present designs and needs in weekly meetings with cross-functional partners 
• Maintain impeccable file & template organization in Dropbox. Communicate with team and cross-functional partners as to where assets can be found as needed
• Strong coordination with Creative, Brand and Digital Marketing teams are a must!

Requirements: 

• BFA/BA in Design, Digital Design
• Experience as a digital/web designer (coursework, internship, agency or in-house creative department) 
• Beauty or Retail experience on an eCommerce-focused design team, preferred
• Proficient in Adobe CS Suite (strong proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop), After Effects and Figma experience is a bonus  
• Mobile-first mentality
• Understanding of design layout, typography, information hierarchy and slicing
• Strong photo retouching skills for the ability to replicate across digital mediums
• Ability to color-retouch image assets in some instances
• Ability to form and maintain relationships among our team and cross-functionally
• Keen eye for clean design and ability to execute tactical direction both flawlessly and efficiently 
• Knowledge of post-production and retouching process
• Ability to retouch on the fly
• Organized files and layers within PSDs
• Ability to work independently on assignments from concept to completion and execute all steps in between with minimal direction
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve within design constraints
• Ability to function in fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities/projects at the same time
• Self-motivated, passionate about design in general and collaborative approach to work
