RFI Ingredients is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Food Scientist consultant / Customer service to join our team. Food Scientist consultant / Customer service, you will play a key role in developing and improving our product offerings, ensuring their safety and quality, and contributing to the innovation and growth of our company.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conduct research, develop new products, and improve existing formulas. You will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and making recommendations for product improvements. Additionally, you will stay up to date with the latest industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance.

Responsibilities

.Interact with customers to provide information and to process inquiries about accounts, products and services.

· Troubleshoot technical issues related to computer/tablet/cell phone applications according to established department policies and protocols

· Respond to and process inbound calls, real-time chat communications, emails and make outgoing calls

· Communicate special marketing offers to VIP customers

· Provide timely feedback to company regarding service failures or customer concerns

· Maintain customer confidentiality

· Adopt and promote company values

· Remain current on all new developments and procedures regarding department and company protocols.

.Conduct research and experiments to develop new food products and improve existing formulas.

.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to ensure seamless product development and launch

Analyze data from sensory evaluations, laboratory testing, and consumer feedback to optimize product formulation.

.Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and scientific advancements to ensure compliance and drive innovation.

.Provide technical support to customers and internal teams by answering product-related inquiries and addressing technical issues.

.Monitor and troubleshoot production processes to ensure product consistency and quality

Document and maintain accurate records of research findings, experiments, and formulation changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Proven experience in food product development, preferably in the [specific industry or sector]
  • Strong knowledge of food science principles, ingredient functionality, and formulation techniques
  • Proficiency in applying statistical analysis tools and techniques to interpret data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
