Fabric Production Coordinator (Garment Production Background Needed)

Our Company:  BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names, such as Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, CeCe, 1.state and Parker.

The Role: On the bulk fabric team, your job begins once the sales team passes orders to production, and is finished once the fabrics are confirmed in transit to each of our factories. This team is responsible for ensuring bulk fabrics are purchased accurately and that all fabrics to begin production are received on time at our factories to meet our garment delivery dates. We work very closely with our Merchandising, Color, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with merchandising, sales, and production teams for bulk fabric cost & delivery
• Review approval status for lab dips and strike offs with color team before placing orders
• Issue PO’s and manage mills to ensure our confirmed deliveries are maintained
• Own responsibility for communicating any delays or changes to orders to all relevant teams
• Follow bulk lot approvals made by color team, and ensure any rejections do not impact delivery
• Be proactive (and creative!) in finding solutions with your team based on experience
• Hold weekly meetings with production team to review all deliveries and any call outs
• Pass weekly reports to manager & review all deliveries and call outs
• Check all DPL and B/L documents from mills to verify quantities and dates for shipments
• Issue care instructions for all styles to the factories based on mill’s suggested care

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience as a fabric coordinator (or similar role within production department of fashion company)
• Must have background in garment production
• Willingness to learn, team player, sense of urgency, strong communication skills
• Candidate must be organized and able to prioritize workload
• Experience with Exenta huge bonus!
• Must be proficient in EXCEL and be able to create pivot tables, vlookups, etc.

The salary range for this full-time role is between $75-85k, dependent upon experience.
