Experienced Omakase Chef

Looking for a chef that is Omakase focused for a new venture. Ideal candidate must be hands on, have prior experience serving Omakase and willing to work in the Bayside area of Queens.

• Prepare various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
• Any and all sushi preparation Ex. prepare fish, toppings, rice
• Oversee inventory control and ordering of food supplies keeping food costs at proper levels
•  Maintain and demonstrate expert knife skills, ensuring precision and safety in all preparations.
• Passion for Japanese cuisine, creativity, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience in sushi, prefer Omakase style experience

- Must be able to make Omakase sushi

- Must have a background as a sushi chef
