Air launched in March 2021 and is backed by world-class venture capital firms including Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
Location: NYC
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office attendance at least 3 days/week.
The role
Air is growing fast and we're seeking a dynamic Events + Space Manager to help shape our company culture and build memorable experiences. The ideal candidate will be a creative, unorthodox thinker with 5+ years of experience orchestrating both intimate team gatherings and large-scale productions in fast-paced environments.
- Plan and execute a variety of internal and external events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions, aligning them with Air’s brand and cultural goals.
- Manage event logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships, leveraging deep connections in NYC’s creative community.
- Conceptualize and deliver cutting-edge, memorable experiences that resonate with employees, customers, and prospects.
- Utilize event technology platforms to execute hybrid and virtual events seamlessly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align event objectives with company goals.
- Solve challenges in real-time with composure and ensure flawless event execution under tight deadlines.
- Monitor trends and gather feedback to continuously elevate Air’s event strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience crafting unforgettable events that blend cultural relevance with brand storytelling
- Deep connections within the creative community and a strong knowledge of emerging cultural trends
- Experience managing budgets while maintaining creative excellence
- Exceptional crisis management skills with the ability to solve complex problems under pressure
- Mastery of current event technology platforms and willingness to experiment with emerging tools
- Portfolio showcasing successful previous collaborations and events with artists, influencers, creators, and/or cultural institutions
You are:
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects and budgets simultaneously, including live event production with timelines ranging from one week to six months.
- Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to new tools, and stays self-motivated with minimal guidance.
- Strong written communication skills and a flexible schedule to accommodate event needs, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
- Passionate about curating unique, memorable experiences that elevate both internal and external events while maintaining a collaborative, low-ego approach.
Benefits
Our company culture was built around a tireless pursuit to be the best at what we do. We're entrepreneurial and focused: tackling problems head-on without ego. We communicate with empathy. We speak directly, listen thoughtfully, and ask questions. We previously worked out of a cozy warehouse in Brooklyn, but are currently distributed around the globe. This is a remote role.
Air contributes to medical, dental, and vision insurance and dependent coverage. We offer a generous work-from-home stipend, professional development reimbursement, and unlimited vacation days. Although we are still early stage, we are always seeking ways to invest in the long-term health, wellness, and continued education of our employees.
At Air, we believe that it takes a diversity of thought, culture, race, sexual orientation, and outlook to build a world-class business. We value unique contributions and welcome people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to join us at Air.
If based in New York City, the compensation range for this role is USD $100,000 to $178,000.
