ITE Management, a leading investment manager and private equity firm specializing in the acquisition of transportation equipment and asset operating platforms in the infrastructure sector, is seeking a Director of Finance to join its dynamic and successful team in New York. Founded in 2014, ITE targets real asset investment opportunities that are cash yielding with downside protection, and benefit from a team with deep, longstanding relationships and financial and operating expertise.  Today, the firm manages over $9bn of assets globally across rail, intermodal, aviation, and emerging technology strategies with office locations in NYC, Chicago and St. Louis.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Finance. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions to drive informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in finance, a keen analytical mindset, and a proven track record of providing actionable insights to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial analysis, performance metrics, and variance explanations to support decision-making at both operational and executive levels.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the fund's strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.                                                           

Investment Portfolio Analysis:

  • Collaborate with investment teams to analyze the financial performance of the fund's investment portfolio.
  • Assess the impact of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes on the portfolio.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze financial data, market trends, and economic indicators to anticipate challenges and opportunities.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and monitor financial risks, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls to safeguard the fund's assets.

Strategic Financial Decision Support:

  • Provide strategic financial insights to support key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership in developing and executing financial strategies aligned with the fund's objectives.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

Salary:

Estimated base salary range for this position is: $165,000-$200,000. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the investment fund or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with relevant financial software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
