Diesel Trailer Mechanic Technician

Miller Truck Leasing is hiring an experienced diesel trailer technician to work out of our customer location in Amsterdam, NY shop. Ideal applicants will have experience supporting a diesel fleet and an interest in advancing their career and technical knowledge.

Diesel Trailer Mechanic Technician Duties:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of trailers on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
• Repair / Replace brakes, wheel seals, S-cams, slack adjusters, lights, suspension, tires, and perform alignments
• Replace doors and seals and perform welding

Requirements

• 3+ years working as a diesel mechanic, trailer mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic

• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractor trailers
• A valid NYSI license OR the ability to acquire one with the assistance of our trainer
• Valid CDL or the ability to acquire one with the assistance of our trainer
• Hand tools
• Ability to work Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
