Full Job Description

Role Overview: As a Development Coordinator at Tricky Knot, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Tricky Knot and its subsidiary companies through every stage of the creative process, from development to release. Reporting to the Creative Executive on the Development Team, you will help support partner production units, perform administrative tasks, and provide key creative strategic input across the development slate. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support Partner Production Units
    • Provide strategic assistance to partner production units, offering resources and support to aid in the development and execution of their projects.
  • Script and Material Evaluation
    • Read and evaluate scripts and source material for partner production units, providing detailed feedback and actionable recommendations to support creative growth.
  • Content Review and Feedback
    • Review all content produced by partner production units, offering high-level feedback to ensure alignment with creative standards and audience expectations. 
  • Administrative and Community Assistance 
    • Support in administrative tasks, such as scheduling the CEO’s calendar. Provide assistance for community events and outreach. 
  • Ensure Operational Excellence
    • Maintain systems and processes to the highest degree. Streamline communication with partner production units via organized and detailed agendas, notes, and follow ups. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with proven success in field of study
  • Proven experience in creative development within the entertainment industry, with a strong understanding of content creation processes and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Intellectually curious with a business mindset, demonstrating the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement across creative and operational processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in script analysis and story development, with a discerning eye for quality content.
  • Ability to think strategically and problem-solve creatively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and practices, including financing and production workflows.
  • Passion for storytelling and a dedication to pushing the boundaries of creativity in the entertainment industry.
