Data QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data QA Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data transformation and integration projects. You will be responsible for building and executing complex SQL scripts, and validating data across multiple databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks, Citus and Oracle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Write and optimize SQL scripts to perform data validation and verification across Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, Citus, and Oracle databases
• Execute and validate end-to-end ETL processes, ensuring accurate data transformation and integration across various database systems
• Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand ETL requirements and data flows
• Work closely with development, data engineering, and product teams to ensure test coverage and resolve any quality issues
• Utilize strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Develop and document best practices for test automation processes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance test performance and efficiency.
• Provide support to team members and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as SQL Server, Databricks, Citus/PostgreSQL, and Oracle
• Experience with SQL data testing tools such as QuerySurge, Datafold, and Soda SQL for automating database validation and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and database systems
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
• Experience with test case and project management tools such as Jira, Zephyr Squad and TestRail
• Knowledge of Javascript, Python and C#/.NET framework is a plus

This is a 12 month contract role with a base salary range of $100,000 - $110,00 plus benefits. A final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience, and the Company's pay equity.
