Hello Sunshine is a media brand and content company dedicated to female authorship and storytelling across all platforms. Hello Sunshine is producing feature films, television shows as well as unscripted series, audio storytelling and social series under the Hello Sunshine brand. It is also the home for Reese’s Book Club, a fast-growing social book club in reach and influence. Hello Sunshine is hiring for a Creative Strategy Director role to continue to elevate our brand partnership work through premium, engaging content and experiences that deliver impact for our advertising partners. This role will focus on leading content strategy and creative development for Solar, a social and creative agency and brand partnership team built upon Hello Sunshine’s expertise in female-centered and premium storytelling, brand building, and community cultivation. Solar creates audience-first, platform-specific immersive experiences at the center of content, community and commerce that uniquely empower brands to partner with the Hello Sunshine portfolio and tell stories that drive impact, create culture, and deeply connect with consumers.

As the Creative Strategy Director, you will work closely with high-performing brand and integrated marketing teams and be responsible for content ideation and development, creative positioning, insight- led proposal/pitch development, and creative brand initiatives. You will also manage creative testing, analyze data and insights, and provide fresh thinking. Proposals and campaigns will leverage Hello Sunshine IP and DTC Businesses (e.g. Reese’s Book Club, The Home Edit, The Collective, Shine Away, Influencer marketing) and need to meet client needs and drive value for brands by building authentic, deep emotional connections with consumers through creative storytelling and experiences that surface, spotlight, and celebrate women.

This creative role requires you to help lead and manage the conception, development, pitching, and execution of ideas with brand partners and AOR clients. You will have a deep understanding of our brands and be able to ideate and incorporate talent/influencer, data, technology, and culture into impactful work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Concept and develop creative ideas that translate client challenges into solutions from our brands’ POV, ensuring the work is on strategy and aligned with expectations.
  • Identify and develop innovative and culturally relevant commercial opportunities across all media platforms including video, social, digital, experiential, and print.
  • Work with the Integrated Marketing, Strategy, Account, and Production teams acting as the creative representative.
  • Act as a research and strategic partner that helps develop meaningful audience insights to guide relevant creative ideas.
  • Lead the development of creative road mapping, including coordinating with other internal teams to ensure the sound execution and measurement of creative recommendations.
  • Be extremely effective in building strong connections with cross-functional groups including social-editorial, creative, production, talent, measurement, and brand marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written communication with the ability to build compelling pitch narratives and frame creative ideas with powerful language and succinct detail.
  • Skilled in conceptualizing, building, packaging, pitching and executing big ideas and signature programs.
  • Work with a diverse team of creatives on developing excellent ideas and content programs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of creative marketing and/or creative strategy experience, with a focus on direct-to-consumer.
  • Experience pitching creative to client audiences in B2C and B2B organizations.
  • Have a track network of incredibly strong creative resources in the media and talent landscape.
  • Experience in an agency or marketing capacity in multiple of the following industries: media and entertainment, lifestyle, women’s interests.
  • Knowledge of current trends and capabilities in digital media, including social media (paid and organic), design, and mobile-first.
  • Experience working with analytic teams, interpreting results, and developing applicable insights.
  • Experience collaborating with sales and accounts teams, with a solid grasp of revenue, production costs, and budgeting      .
  • Have previous experience as a creative strategist and/or copywriter.
