Coordinator/Senior Coordinator New Product Development
tarte is hiring a Coordinator, New Product Development to manage timelines for new products, sampling programs, and ongoing development of existing products to ensure successful execution of launches. This is a great role for someone who loves planning! We are looking for enthusiastic, action-oriented problem solver to drive cross-functional new product launches.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new product launches by identifying and monitoring overall project timeline and milestones, while driving the cross functional teams to maintain launch timing.
- Revise planned tasks/milestones as appropriate to meet everchanging needs and requirements of the business
- Collaborate and troubleshoot with teammates to resolve issues as they arise. Develop plans to correct missed deliverables to bring the project back on track.
- Proactively engage in launch development process to ensure teams focus and prioritize tasks as needed
- Prepare and lead bi-weekly operations meetings to ensure launches remain on track, and hold ad hoc meetings as needed to drive resolution on urgent issues
- Identify, manage, and communicate critical issues and risks to relevant team members. Remain diplomatic and drive actionable steps to move projects forward
- Timeline support to all cross-functional team members (Product Development, Packaging, Operations – including Demand Planning and Retail Ops, Regulatory, Marketing, and Creative) while clearly communicating direction and actionable steps on a regular basis
- Update timelines on a weekly basis to accurately reflect project status and keep teams on target to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- BS / BA
- 1+ years experience in cosmetics or personal care industry
- 1+ years experience in project management or similar field
- Skilled in MS Project (or comparable software) and in-depth knowledge of new product development lifecycle
- Organized, self-starter, resourceful, with a hunger to learn at a fast-paced company
- Demonstrates leadership, diplomacy, decisiveness, and results oriented
- Ability to influence others by maintaining open channels of communication, fostering teamwork, and building relationships with cross-functional teams
- Ability to understand complex issues from various sources, while finding simple solutions
- Effective planning and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, negotiate, and problem solve
- Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapt to change in priorities
- Comfortable in working in a complex, ambiguous, everchanging environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills, with ability to convey ideas clearly
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office, including e-mail, word and excel
