Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Harlem, NY (ONSITE)

Based in the vibrant community of Harlem, we’re rapidly expanding across the New York City tri-state area with a mission to make dry cleaning reliable, affordable, and convenient. As we open new retail stores in all five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester County, Southern Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey, we’re seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational excellence and drive our growth. 

Key Areas of Responsibility: 

Operational Leadership: To work closely with the CEO to oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. 

Strategic Expansion: To work closely with the CEO in the development of the company’s expansion strategies, including the opening of new retail stores across the tri-state area, and ensure operational readiness and successful market entry. 

Team Management: To oversee, build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. 

Process Optimization: To identify and recommend to the CEO and the leadership team, process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. 

Financial Oversight: To work closely with the CEO and CFO to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals. 

Customer Experience: To oversee and ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained across all locations, aligning with Dri Clean Depot’s commitment to a fresh and innovative customer experience. 

Compliance and Safety: To work with the executive team to ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards, maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other key stakeholders to align operational strategies with overall business objectives. 

Travel: Periodic travel to NJ, PA, CT, and across NY may be required to oversee and support operations. 

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. 

Industry Experience: Proven experience in the service industry, particularly in dry cleaning, laundry, janitorial services, or a related field. 

Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and scaling operations in a fast-paced environment. 

Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams at all levels. 

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. 

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and customer engagement.
