Chief of Staff to the CEO

5th World is seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to report directly to the CEO. This role is crucial for driving the CEO’s strategic initiatives and managing daily priorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy, finance, and stakeholder management, coupled with experience in a startup environment. The Chief of Staff will serve as a key advisor and partner to the CEO, ensuring the seamless execution of 5th World’s mission to accelerate the global transition to regenerative and distributed energy, water, and food systems.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:

  • Provide high-level, confidential support to the CEO, including managing communications, special projects, and day-to-day priorities.
  • Facilitate executive meetings, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and key clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Monitor the progress of key initiatives and ensure alignment with the CEO's vision and company goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, investors, and board meetings.

Fundraising Support:

  • Lead fundraising efforts for Real Estate and Land Development projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and investor expectations.
  • Lead fundraising efforts for crypto products, including developing pitch materials and engaging with potential investors.
  • Conduct financial analysis and market research to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support the CEO in managing relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders.

Strategic Problem Solving:

  • Address complex strategic challenges with innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Act as a versatile contributor to various aspects of the business, handling diverse tasks and projects as needed to support the CEO’s priorities.

Stakeholder Partnerships:

  • Develop and maintain key partnerships to advance 5th World’s strategic initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives to build and strengthen community relationships, particularly in the NY area.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the CEO's immediate team.
  • Lead by example in upholding the company's values and principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a strategy consulting or investment banking role.
  • Experience working at or supporting startups and/or entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Experience in fundraising, financial management, and investor relations.
  • A good understanding of the crypto industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the real estate and land development industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder and team management.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Benefits

  • Based out of NYC, the Chief of Staff will have the flexibility to work from home 50% of the time, with the remaining 50% spent at the office or visiting clients.
