Full Job Description

We are keen to speak with a CFTC Regulatory Reporting Project Manager to join our team on an initial 6-month contract with a hedge fund based in New York City. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CFTC regulations and extensive experience in regulatory reporting within the hedge fund industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with CFTC requirements and enhancing the firm's reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of CFTC Trade reporting strategies.
  • Apply compliance expertise in regulatory reporting (especially OTC derivatives), control room operations, retroactive initiatives, and compliance surveillance.
  • Manage and deliver enterprise programs, balancing multiple projects and tight deadlines with oversight of team members and remediation work where needed.
  • Conduct data analysis to extract insights, manipulate, and understand data effectively; knowledge of SQL (desirable)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to CFTC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Analyse and interpret CFTC regulations to provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on CFTC reporting requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on compliance status and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory/Trade reporting within the hedge fund or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of CFTC regulations, particularly related to derivatives and swaps.
  • Deep knowledge of Trade reporting.
  • Program management experience with demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and execute remediation projects.
  • Proven analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to write business requirements, manage data and data controls.
  • Competency in data analysis, with confidence in data manipulation and insight extraction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
