Full Job Description
We are keen to speak with a CFTC Regulatory Reporting Project Manager to join our team on an initial 6-month contract with a hedge fund based in New York City. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CFTC regulations and extensive experience in regulatory reporting within the hedge fund industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with CFTC requirements and enhancing the firm's reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of CFTC Trade reporting strategies.
- Apply compliance expertise in regulatory reporting (especially OTC derivatives), control room operations, retroactive initiatives, and compliance surveillance.
- Manage and deliver enterprise programs, balancing multiple projects and tight deadlines with oversight of team members and remediation work where needed.
- Conduct data analysis to extract insights, manipulate, and understand data effectively; knowledge of SQL (desirable)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to CFTC and other regulatory bodies.
- Analyse and interpret CFTC regulations to provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations.
- Provide training and support to staff on CFTC reporting requirements and best practices.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on compliance status and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory/Trade reporting within the hedge fund or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of CFTC regulations, particularly related to derivatives and swaps.
- Deep knowledge of Trade reporting.
- Program management experience with demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and execute remediation projects.
- Proven analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to write business requirements, manage data and data controls.
- Competency in data analysis, with confidence in data manipulation and insight extraction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
