Full Job Description
Calvary Hospice provides end-of-life care to patients with life-limiting illnesses whose care has transitioned from active curative to palliative and quality of life focused. The majority of care is provided in the patient’s home and as needed, short term inpatient care is provided at several facilities throughout the greater New York area.

Requirements
To assist in the packaging, labeling, preparation, and delivery of pharmaceutical products under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and to provide technical support in all phases of drug distribution; assists with clerical and supply functions. Although work is generally light, lifting cartons of 25 to 30 pounds is not unusual.
Status: Full- Time
Salary: $28.73 -$33.06 per hour
Qualifications:
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the New York State Board of Pharmacy preferred.
- Previous training in unit dose systems and IV preparation is preferred.
- Ability to perceive differences in similarly named products.
- Finger dexterity and mechanical aptitude in operation and maintenance of unit dose machines and typing.
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy boxes (approximately 25-30 pounds).
Education:
- High School diploma with math and science background.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (e.g., Pharmacy Technician Certification Board [PTCB] or National Health career Association [NHA]).
