Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the company through successful partnerships with targeted insurer partners and agencies. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to developing and executing targeted partnerships efficiently to drive market success. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the international team to iterate rapidly on developing the best platform and strategy for market entry. Strong sales, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, establish, and grow relationships with targeted insurer partners and agencies to expand BJAK's market presence.
- Collaborate with the international team to devise and execute strategic plans for successful partnerships, ensuring timely go-to-market execution.
- Conduct detailed research on various aspects, including regulations and insurer requirements, to develop robust strategies.
- Work with the international team to iterate rapidly on the development of the platform for optimal market positioning.
- Prepare compelling presentations and communications to secure partnerships and maintain strong relationships.
- Perform daily follow-up with key points of contact to ensure ongoing communication and partnership success.
- Exhibit strong sales, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Be methodical, organized, detail-oriented, and results-oriented.
- Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude, professionalism, passion, ownership, commitment, accountability, and teamwork.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, particularly within the insurance industry or related fields.
- Strong track record of successful partnership development and execution.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with international teams and adapt to different cultural contexts.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
