Business Development Manager (BDM)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and establishing strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and organizations. This role is pivotal in expanding our client base and achieving our financial targets. Reporting to the Director of Regenerative Property Design, this remote position requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional networking, negotiation, and closing skills. A passion for environmental sustainability and planetary regeneration is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and organizations.
- Create and execute strategic business development plans.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Deliver and pitch sales presentations and proposals.
- Public Speaking experience
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive revenue growth.
What Success Looks Like
- Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Expanding the client base and establishing long-term relationships.
- Consistently closing high-value deals.
- Contributing to the overall financial success of the business unit.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
Other Responsibilities
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities and results.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Mentor and support junior business development staff.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related field (5+ years).
- Strong networking, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- The BDM will have the flexibility to work from home 50% of the time, and the remaining 50% will be at the office or visiting clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong financial acumen
- A passion for environmental sustainability and planetary regeneration is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Benefits
- $86,000-$108,000 usd base salary
- Commission on all sales, paid quarterly and contingent on receivables.
- Eligibility for Organizational bonus if budget target goals are met by December 2024
