Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst (BA) specializing in billing system implementation within the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance billing processes, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading and supporting billing system projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibility:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough analysis and gather current billing processes and systems.
- Understand and document all requirements related to new billing system.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT teams.
System Implementation and Integration:
- Work closely with the offshore vendors and Cover Whale IT and development teams to ensure accurate implementation of billing system solutions.
- Facilitate the integration of billing systems with other core insurance systems (policy administration, claims, etc.).
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders to validate system changes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new billing system functionalities.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize billing processes.
- Recommend best practices and innovative solutions to enhance billing system performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making and project outcomes.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor billing system performance and identify trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on billing system implementation in the P&C Insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance billing processes and systems.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
- Familiarity with billing software and tools commonly used in the insurance industry.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to insurance billing.
