Seeking Detail-Oriented Bookkeeping Assistant!

Join a dynamic fashion trade show team as a Bookkeeping Assistant

What You'll Do:

  • Billing: Invoicing and processing payments for clients
  • Support Efficiency: Assist in data entry, reconciliations, and report generation.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with our production team to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Seasonal Position: This is a seasonal position running August through October and January through March.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

We are looking for a skilled assistant to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, client services, and accounts receivable. A successful candidate should be familiar with all accounting procedures and be able to ensure that the company’s accounts receivable functions run accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Controller
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

Requirements

  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • High school degree
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
