Bank Controller - To 130K - Hybrid Remote - Job # 2934

The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Bank Controller role located in the Rochester, NY market. The position is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, general ledger, and mortgage accounting.

The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $130K and a benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position – must live near Rochester, NY).

Bank Controller responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the Bank’s accounting functions, including principles/practices/procedures and initiatives.
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual transactions.
• Ensuring general ledger accuracy.
• Overseeing complex transactions including ALLL, non-accrual loans, TDRs, foreclosures, deferred loan fees/costs, and mortgage servicing rights.
• Preparing internal and external reports including GAAP financials, Call reports, Board reports, regulatory reports, and 1099’s.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field.
• Five or more years of experience in the financial field, preferably commercial bank.
• CPA desirable.
• Experience with general ledger, Excel and Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts (GAAP) and control requirements for financial institutions.
• Ability to work independently.
