Automotive Technician - Lexus Entry Level

Earn up to 5K sign on bonus based on Experience! Rallye Lexus, Long Island’s premier Lexus dealership, has immediate opportunities for Technicians Apprentice. Seeking entry-level technicians whose values are based in teamwork and a desire to grow within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position where they can utilize their technical skills in a state of the art facility and join a team whose values are based on teamwork and delivering the highest caliber of customer service! Technicians Apprentices are responsible for diagnosing problems and performing repairs properly and in a timely fashion while working cooperatively with other members of the service team to ensure that jobs are performed up to standard.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lexus factory and Rallye Lexus standards.
• Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to service advisors.
• Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised.
• Clearly and accurately document all work performed.
• Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.
• Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by factory or Rallye Lexus.

Requirements

• A clean & valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Basic mechanical skills, manual dexterity
• Automotive graduate or at least 1 year working in a dealership.
• Previous Lexus or Toyota experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, and comprehend instructions and information.
• NYS inspectors license preferred.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment including but not limited to wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, etc.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 hourly based on experience
