We are seeking an Associate to join Elevate Future Fund (“Elevate”). Elevate focuses on investing in early-stage (e.g. seed to Series B), high-potential underrepresented founders and teams dedicated to advancing the clean energy transition. The Elevate Associate will report to the Elevate Managing Partner and work closely with EIP’s Strategy team. The position is an opportunity for a candidate to join a lean team in a growing focus area within an established investment firm. The role will be a great entry point for a career in venture investing and an opportunity to work closely with leading investors and entrepreneurs. This position would be based from EIP’s headquarter office in New York, NY.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Identifying attractive investment themes and sourcing/ screening prospective investments opportunities
- Researching and synthesizing market trends and data
- Aid portfolio founders in building competencies in the areas of executive development, go-to-market strategy, fundraising, and related areas of technical/ business acumen
- Facilitate introductions for portfolio founders
- Manage relationships with utilities/ corporate partner executives, mentors, and the larger Elevate network
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of work experience in a relevant field (e.g. investment banking, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, or early-stage startups)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a distinctive academic track record
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- 1deal candidates will be highly motivated self-starters, intellectually curious, and detail oriented
- Candidates should have a positive attitude and be open minded, not ego-driven, and ready to work as a team player
Benefits
The base compensation for this position is $120,000 and is bonus eligible. Final salary compensation will be determined at time of offer and will be based off a combination of years of experience, skills, education, and applicable licenses/certifications.
