Overview:
The Assistant, Tour Marketing will assist the SVP and team in the Tour Marketing department. Ideal candidate has a strong interest in marketing and music and/or touring. This position requires a communicative, detail-oriented, flexible, highly motivated and organized individual who can take initiative while learning on the job. The ability to multi-task is crucial as the role will see the individual perform high-volume administrative and marketing tasks.
This role is based in our Brooklyn, NY office.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Tour Marketing:
Assisting in any tour marketing duties determined by the SVP, Marketing + New York Tour Marketing Team, including but not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining tracking documents for all tours that are appropriate
- Working with support staff to create/implement a tour document infrastructure (including marketing plans, reports from promoters, radio reports, street team initiatives, admat/artwork, ticket headers, ticket audits etc.) on an artist and tour specific basis via BOX and Google Drive.
- Content Syndication – working with support staff while being the conduit between our artists/managers and promoters, feeding new content to them and ensuring that they are posting through their channels.
- Create promoter letters for SVP, Marketing and Coordinator, Tour Marketing to review.
- Prepare and update marketing documents and materials as needed.
- Scrub promoter social media channels to ensure content is being used effectively.
- Scrub ticket links and websites to ensure events are listed accurately.
- Collect ticketing proposals for presales.
- Follow up with social media sites for all promoters to make sure the show has been listed on website, social media channels and radio stations and ensure that all info listed is correct.
- Assist in brainstorm sessions for creative marketing ideas to use throughout a tour campaign.
- Identify ticketing platforms before launching a campaign.
- Facilitate Spotify presale submissions for time sensitive tours that have not been claimed by a tour marketing agent yet.
Tour Documents: for agents, EVP group and marketing department
- Maintain the Wasserman Music tour document agency wide.
General Support of Marketing Department:
Supporting SVP, Marketing + overall marketing department on all initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Scheduling calls and meetings.
- File and process T&E Reports for SVP, Marketing.
- Creating presentations for SVP, Marketing when needed.
- Take notes for all meetings and calls for SVP, Marketing, Including meeting notes for agent marketing meetings.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of professional (or internship) experience working in the music industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and Box
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
- Proactive, reliable, resourceful and assertive when necessary
- Able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing priorities, and interface with clients and C-level management with grace while understanding and maintaining confidentially and professionalism
Base salary range: $46,500 – $46,500, plus bonus potential.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each hire.
