We are looking for an Assistant Controller
Compensation $182,000 - $210,000 salary, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits.
Reporting to the Global Controller, you will join our Accounting leadership team and work cross-functionally with our People, Legal and FP&A teams, providing you with a broad range of responsibilities and considerable opportunity for career development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience at a rapidly growing company and possess a high degree of initiative and ownership to drive process improvements, redefine internal controls, and streamline policies and procedures across our finance organization globally. Responsibilities include the delivery of timely, accurate and transparent financial information, ensuring best-in-class operational processes, driving process and system improvements, and leading and empowering a team of Rokt’Stars to reach their highest potential. The role will involve deep cross-functional work to support Rokt’s growth, so problem solving and communication skills are essential to conquer new frontiers.
About the role
- Oversee the following accounting functions for our global organization:
- Managing of the end-to-end order to cash and cost of revenue processes
- Managing of AR/ AP, corporate credit cards, payroll, expenses, and cash/ treasury processes
- Owning the corresponding month-end account reconciliations. For any variances, ensure timely resolution and correction in the GL, if needed.
- Owning the corresponding analysis and commentary for the monthly and quarterly financial review meetings
- Be part of the team managing the annual audit process across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with implementation and cutover to NetSuite as the new ERP system of record; drive post-go live adoption and training of best practices for the team
- Lead the business requirements for implementation of financial systems/ integrations and drive process improvements to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions
- Support internal and external reporting and SOX requirements
- Build and manage a team of 10+ with bias for action. Drive team engagement and facilitate their growth and development.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams both within Finance and outside of Finance
- Operate as a strategic business leader who maintains the optimal balance among business, compliance and operational considerations
Desired experience - Extensive experience managing operational processes and systems (NetSuite), as well as a deep understanding of GL accounting
Requirements
About you
- CPA with a minimum of 9 years of experience, with a background at the Big 4 as well as industry experience at a rapidly growing tech company (late stage pre-IPO or IPO within the last 2 years)
- Hands on experience with NetSuite - leading an implementation is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in automation of order to cash, procure to pay and/or treasury processes and shortening the time to close
- Deep understanding of US GAAP. Experience with IFRS a plus.
- Experience with PCAOB level audits and SOX implementation/ remediation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Process-oriented with an attention to detail.
- Enjoys cross-functional projects to drive change and Raise the Bar
- Strong project management skills. Enjoys owning projects from end-to-end.
