Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our Business Office. As the Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career.

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations for financial management
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Support the Controller in overseeing internal controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Mentor and train accounting staff as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting role, preferably in public accounting or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
  • Experience with general ledger accounting
  • Solid understanding of budgeting principles and financial management practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software

Benefits

Pay: $85,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
