EIP is seeking an Analyst for its award-winning Impact & Sustainability team. The Impact & Sustainability team works with EIP’s portfolio companies and investors to drive high quality, transparent environmental impact calculations and embed good ESG practices in our industry. The position will support the team in the areas of due diligence, reporting, portfolio engagement and thought leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct impact and ESG due diligence for EIP portfolio companies and new investments (including carbon impact estimates for directly measurable companies involved in clean energy generation, clean energy storage, energy efficiency, materials, etc.) in collaboration with the portfolio companies and EIP’s teams
- Engage directly with EIP's portfolio companies to support their ESG performance and impact calculations
- Contribute to the production of EIP's Annual Impact & ESG Report and other sustainability-related materials and events
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG reporting and impact measurement frameworks and engage with industry working groups.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience working on environmental science, engineering, ESG, impact investing, sustainability management consulting, or related fields
- Education and/or experience in quantitative measurement of carbon emissions and other environmental impacts
- Background in engineering, environmental science, finance, and/or broader sustainability (Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred)
- Familiarity with industry frameworks and initiatives such as SFDR, EDCI, GHG Protocol, PCAF, and Net Zero initiatives and standards
- Excellent oral and writing skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- A passion for addressing the multiple threats posed by climate change through innovation, industry transformation and markets
Benefits
Base compensation for this role is $90,000-105,000 + discretionary bonus.
