Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Director of Housing & Residence Life:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the department and team
- Manage front desk operations; must triage all front desk activities, which includes greeting and direct visitors to the office and directing complex situations to departmental administrators as necessary
- Ensure timely, consistent correspondence on behalf of the Office
- Organize and schedule appointments for members of the Housing & Residence Life staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for the Office such as student housing files, judicial files, student time sheets, etc.
- Process purchase orders, check requests, and reimbursements for the department in collaboration with Finance department
- Provide excellent customer service to students, families and guests of the Housing & Residence Life office located in the Alumnae Pavilion Student Center
- Oversees the housing process for the international student groups
- Coordinates Late Stay, Early Arrival, Break Housing, and Summer Housing process
- Processes Overnight Guest pass requests
- Collaborates regularly with Facilities, Operations, Campus Events, and Campus Security
- Works closely with outside vendors such as the U.S. Census Bureau, Micro-fridge delivery, CSC Laundry Service, etc
- Assists with departmental projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director
- Attends weekly one-on-one meetings with the Director
- Other duties as assigned
In support of the Dean of Students Office:
- Receives and evaluates health records from primary care providers to ensure student compliance with the city and state immunization requirements
- Completes all city and state reports on immunization records
- Supports the Dean of Students with the waiver and enrollment process of student health insurance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in residence life, housing operations, or student affairs is preferred with past experience working with college students
- Ability to work as a flexible, supportive team member in a diverse environment
- Excellent communication, computer, and customer service skills are essential
