Accounting Supervisor

Seasons Kosher Supermarkets is one of the largest kosher supermarket chains in the nation. At present, there are 4 Seasons Supermarket locations & 4 Convenience store models across the Tri-State area with plans to expand. Seasons offers its customers a full-service kosher shopping experience where everyone, including its highly dedicated associates, is treated like family.

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day accounting controls, reporting, and processes. Specific responsibilities will include oversight of A/P, A/R, Cash and Sales, G/L, and Balance Sheet. In addition, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow responsibilities will be a significant part of the job. This position is full-time and in-office. Our HQ is located in the Marine Park area in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting staff and ensure accounting process and reporting are completed timely and accurately.
• Oversight of A/P, A/R, Sales Reporting, Banking, and overall balance sheet responsibility.
• Maintains financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Reconciles and balances multiple accounts.
• Provide financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
• Perform general bookkeeping, journal entry, and data entry functions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in a similar position with prior supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large volumes of data are a must.
• Netsuite experience is a plus.
