Full Job Description

The sales team is responsible for the monetization of Future’s properties (digital, video and print). The sales team adheres to a rigorous sales process that includes, but is not limited to: lead sourcing deadline management, research and program delivery, from pitch stage to sold programs. 

We’re looking for someone passionate about our brands and who combines creativity and strategy with a hunger to succeed and a deep understanding of the technology space.  This individual is effective in their ability to work with clients, smart in their approach to the territory, and enthusiastic in their desire to be part of our growth. The Account Executive will establish and strengthen key client relationships with a focus on driving revenue, and advertiser education and satisfaction. Success in this position requires a focus on client service, the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, and the ability to help shape and leverage scalable solutions to grow and support Future’s customers.

What you'll be doing..

  • Sell digital media (branded content, premium video, and programmatic solutions), against a list of assigned accounts
  • Partner with internal resources in order to drive additional value and expertise
  • Generate pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment
  • Build credibility and trust while influencing buying decisions
  • Build account strategy and territory plan by account tiering
  • Possess a general understanding of major advertising categories (Technology, Gaming, Lifestyle, CPG, etc)  and the priorities that drive media planning decisions from the account and agency perspectives
  • Identify and pursue target clients nationally within the technology category
  • Effectively navigate the complex agency and brand landscape to reach decision makers
  • Understand client needs and present relevant, creative solutions
  • Maintain and grow an active pipeline of prospects, proposals and opportunities
  • Represent Future within the marketplace, with clients, and at industry functions
  • Contribute to the sales team and overall Future’s growth

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

  • Existing client relationships (client and agency) 
  • BA/BS degree 
  • Media industry experience including proven experience in sales role(s)
  • Experience in digital, mobile, video and print is a plus
  • Passion for, and deep understanding of digital media/video monetization products and trends, audience data and solutions-based approach
  • Ability to negotiate deals, think strategically, and understand complex client campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Business acumen and insightful understanding of industry trends & revenue drivers
  • Entrepreneurial drive and an ability to organize, prioritize, and clarify deliverables

This would be a hybrid opportunity from our New York office, working three days from the office, two from home.

Please note, the salary range for this position is $87,000 - $110,000 base salary. This role will have a base salary along with a commission structure attached.
