Job Role
We are seeking a results-oriented Account Executive with a strong ESG consulting or SaaS background and expertise in ESG regulation, reporting, and sustainable procurement. This role is designed for a driven individual who can leverage their deep understanding of ESG challenges to engage mid-market & enterprise companies to articulate the value of our cutting-edge technology platform and advisory services.
The Account Executive will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals with companies looking to enhance their ESG capabilities. This position is ideal for a sales professional passionate about sustainability and ESG who has experience selling into corporates while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
Core Responsibilities
- Market Development: Proactively identify, research, and generate leads within mid-market to enterprise businesses, leveraging networks and insights into ESG regulations and sustainable procurement practices.
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture strong client relationships by understanding specific ESG challenges and providing tailored solutions.
- Solution Selling: Conduct compelling product demonstrations and present Novata’s ESG platform as a comprehensive tool for navigating sustainability reporting, ESG data aggregation, and procurement alignment.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing and ESG advisory teams to design and implement targeted campaigns that drive engagement and awareness among decision-makers in compliance, finance, procurement, and sustainability roles.
- Closing Deals: Negotiate and close sales agreements that reflect the value of long-term, sustainable partnerships.
- Sales Management: Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline, delivering accurate forecasts and insights into market trends and client needs.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience in ESG consulting, sustainability services, or technology with a strong focus on ESG and corporate engagement.
- Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and familiarity with regulations such as CSRD, SFDR, and sustainable procurement best practices.
- Track Record: Proven success in consultative selling to decision-makers in departments such as compliance, sustainability, procurement, and finance.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and drive strategic conversations.
- Sales Acumen: A history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to articulate the value of SaaS platforms and ESG advisory services, with experience using CRM systems and other sales tools.
- Mindset: Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
