Responsibilities
- Integrate all assigned phases of the project into the whole including, but not limited to, quality control, safety and personnel management.
- Supervise and coach staff and provide regular, constructive feedback to train and develop.
- Develop the entire 4-week schedule from start to finish and be able to modify it.
- Run pre-cons and manage subcontractor correspondence.
- Identify and appropriately resolve issues during construction.
- Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed.
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers on a regular basis.
- Manage and collaborate with subcontractors to address project needs
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and organized
Requirements
- Requires 5-7 years’ experience leading the construction of multi-family housing (ground up, podium style)
- Demonstrated knowledge of various trades (MEP, structural details, sitework/utilities)
- Skill in reading project plans and specifications with the ability to complete a full plan and spec review for a project
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience with the ability to coach and train subordinate staff
- Strong project management and communications skills
- OSHA 30 certification
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
- Proficiency in MS Office and Procore
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and inspire
