Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Systems Administrator at Empowerment Academy Charter School, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational technology infrastructure. This position will be responsible for providing technical support to students, teachers, and staff, helping to create a conducive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to teachers, and staff, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
2. Hardware Maintenance: Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, laptops, tablets, projectors, and other educational technology devices.
3. Software Support: Install, troubleshoot, and upgrade software applications used in the educational environment, including learning management systems, productivity software, and educational software.
4. User Training: Offer basic training and guidance to end-users on technology usage and best practices.
5. Infrastructure Management: Maintain networking systems
6. Documentation: Keep detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and IT equipment inventory.
7. Security Awareness: Assist in maintaining the security and integrity of the school's IT systems by adhering to security policies and procedures.
8. Infrastructure Maintenance: Proficiently and proactively diagnose issues with Infrastructure services. Subject but not limited to Cloud and internal servers and services.

Salary: $52,000-$55,000

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred).
• Strong passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow in the IT field.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus, but not required.
