This position will be responsible for ensuring the availability of our products and timely order fulfilment for our customers. The position will require an integrated approach to demand and supply planning with a focus on building a customer-centric, nimble, and resilient supply chain, this role will also involve expanding our sourcing capabilities through copackers/partners and managing a distributed team. It is a critical role that requires the ability to align our capabilities to meet customer demands and support the growth of the organization.

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

• Develop and lead S&OP process for demand, supply, and financial forecasting. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain accurate demand forecasts and inventory plans. 
• Optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency. 
• Monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement
• Manage team responsible for planning and fulfillment operations
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between teams, suppliers, and customers
• Develop and manage supplier relationships for a reliable and flexible supply chain
• Lead initiatives to expand sourcing capabilities and develop contingency plans
• Monitor budgets and financial forecasts related to inventory and fulfillment operations
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices and identify opportunities for improvement

What are the job responsibilities?

• Develop and lead an S&OP process for the US region enabling decisions and actions that ensure robust resiliency of our supply chains for externally sourced products
• S&OP process on a monthly cadence focused on improving service and reducing obsolescence 
• Technology based planning (anchor the implementation of supply planning optimization)  
• Provide inputs to network optimization such as inventory levels and order service, improvement of Landover Productivity 
• Responsible for Demand Planning to bring in new ways of thinking that drives improvements in sales forecast accuracy (WMAPE) - both overall for EOC, TET, GET as well as top 5 customers  
• Closely liaise with the Sales and the Operations team to ensure order fulfilment on-time-in-full, maximize fulfilment (Reduce order cuts) and Improve customer scorecard rankings 
• Assess constraints on supply such as short-term capacity, packaging material and commodity to fine tune production plans and provide inputs to stakeholders on prioritization 
• Leverage industry best practices with a view to continuously improve supply planning process to establish a robust and self-sustaining network
• Lead for US market’s tea supply strategy for Tetley, Good Earth, and Teapigs 
• Tea sourcing from our JVs, Imports from non-US TCP geographies, including ownership of supply/service/inventory planning 
• Leading operational aspects of Teapigs including fulfilment center located in Landover, MD

• Driving internal and external benchmarking on supply chain best practices and performance to enhance customer centricity and supply chain impact 
• Leveraging technology for superior customer delivery and continuous improvement leading to competitive advantage through process automation, data analytics and enabling higher levels of supply chain visibility  
• Coaching and mentor direct reports to enable a lean process centric supply chain 
• Provide inputs to customer fulfilment team on reasons for stock shortfall and connectivity plans for the shortfall for logistics planning 
• Identify efficiency opportunities within order to cash processes and identify plans to implement 
• Rapid Integration of line extensions and new customers into current processes 

Requirements

What are the Critical Success Factors for the Role?

• 8-10 years relevant experience in Supply Chain management ideally leading S&OP function preferably within CPG/FMCG industry 
• Strong understanding of DRP, MRP and WMS in a ERP setup 
• Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) with concentration in Supply Chain or Operations Management.  APICS or similar certification on Supply Chain Management is a plus
