As a Senior Systems Administrator at Corcentric, you will join a fun, collaborative team within an ambitious, entrepreneurial global organization. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems, ensuring high availability and performance. You will work closely with our global corporate IT and web operations team to support our system infrastructure. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues, as well as performing regular system maintenance and upgrades.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems administration and is familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
We are currently hiring out of our Downers Grove, IL or Cherry Hill, NJ office locations, however, this role may be eligible for voluntary work-from-home consideration. In order to be considered for this position, you should live within a commutable distance to this office location, even if you plan to request a work-from-home arrangement, as there may be times when in-person meetings, training sessions, social events, or similar activities are held onsite.

As a Senior Systems Administrator you will:
- Deploy and configure M365/Azure applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and other associated services, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to Azure servers & M365 services, with a focus on ensuring uninterrupted service for Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange Server environments, by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, providing advanced technical guidance and support to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and management of virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
- Perform regular routine server maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and performance tuning, to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of Exchange, M365, and Azure environments.
- Document and maintain server configurations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational standards, with a focus on Exchange, M365, and Azure infrastructure.
- Monitor server health and performance metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to prevent service disruptions and optimize resource utilization in data center servers, Exchange, M365, and Azure environments.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for Exchange, M365, and Azure environments, ensuring data protection and business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging vendor support resources and expertise as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, providing technical expertise and support to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the realm of server operations and maintenance, to continuously improve support services and enhance system performance.
- Stay up to date on M365 updates and new features, evaluating their potential benefits for the organization and proactively implementing relevant changes or enhancements.
Requirements
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an M365 systems administrator, with a strong background in system administration and cloud engineering, including server operations and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and other associated services, coupled with extensive experience in operating and maintaining these environments.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot SMTP, traffic flow, and DNS-related issues in an enterprise environment, leveraging both operational and engineering perspectives.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and automation, enabling efficient management and configuration of Exchange, M365, and Azure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to successfully address, prioritize, and complete multiple competing tasks with minimal direct supervision, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
- M365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are a plus, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in managing and supporting M365 environments.
