Senior Electrical Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering and Design firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Electrical Engineer in Monroe Township, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of power systems ranging from Low Voltage (0 – 1 kV) to Medium Voltage (1 kV - 64 kV) distribution and transmission systems
• Routinely interact with, manage, and serve clients
• Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Systems products for a project
• Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
• Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of electrical systems and provides markups for junior engineers
• Prepares and revises documentation in various electrical phases including site plans, floor plans, wiring diagrams and details mostly for heavy industrial, water, renewable (PV) and generation projects
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, client and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors
• Participates in client project meetings and basic cost estimating
• Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers
• Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical group
• Develops project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects
• Assists with the development of proposal and engineering level of effort for smaller, less complex projects
• Oversees multiple Electrical Engineering projects
• Participates in constructability review
• Record of successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget, while maintaining high standards of quality
• Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule
• Participates and collaborates in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience
• BS or MS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
• Proficient in Electrical Load Calculations
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficient with Etap, Capper/Dapper or equivalent
• Technical writing skills required
• Proficient in the development of specifications for UPS Systems, Emergency/Standby Generators, Low and Medium-Voltage Switchgear
• Knowledge in Infrastructure and Commercial Facilities
• Knowledge relative to Data Center infrastructure design
• Capable of supervising staff engineers and designers
• Experience with the development of Short Circuit and Selective
• Coordination studies
• Experience with the development of Arc Flash Hazard Analysis Studies
• Experience with the design of Standby and Emergency Generator Systems as well as paralleling generator systems
• Extensive field survey experience
• Extensive experience with Construction Administration
