We are seeking a passionate Senior Director, Global Forecasting to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in driving our forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely predictions that support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient-based forecasting leading both top-down and bottom-up approaches, as well as proven track record in working closely with supply chain management and finance.

You will report directly to Kate Reedy, Vice President, Global Head of Marketing, who is based in Princeton, US You will be based in either Princeton, US or Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the development and implementation of forecasting models for demand, revenue, and key metrics, while managing global supply and patient demand forecasts. Ensure alignment of local market forecasts with global strategy for accurate top-down predictions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure forecast alignment and accuracy, while working with marketing and business leads to establish standard forecasting assumptions by brand across all markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on forecast progress and insights, and present forecast results and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Continuously review and enhance forecasting processes, and tools for accuracy and efficiency, while leading the creation and maintenance of fact sheets to provide up-to-date insights on global and local market dynamics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies by leveraging advanced analytics and technology, while tracking forecast performance against actuals and adjusting models to maintain precision.
  • Stay informed on market developments, including trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes, while applying industry best practices to continuously enhance Ascendis’ forecasting capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a master’s degree in business or life sciences preferred – and +12 years in pharmaceutical/strategy forecasting, finance, analytics, or supply chain management experience. Moreover, you have more than 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Extensive knowledge of forecasting principles, practices, and tools
  • Excellent analytical skills and well-versed in industry secondary data sources and patient data
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Advanced Power Point skills (preferred)
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing scenarios.

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to have excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.

 

Travel: This role will involve travel, with frequency to be determined.
