Ocean Academy is a therapeutic and behavioral school that focuses on providing a nurturing environment for those students that don’t thrive in a conventional educational setting.
Position Title: School Social Worker
Position Type: Full Time; 40 Hours Weekly
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Location: Bayville, NJ
Department: Ocean Academy
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
Responsibilities:
- Provide school based individual and group counseling and promote personal and social functioning to include, but not limited to:
- Behavior Management plans and contracts
- Social skills
- Conflict resolution
- Problem solving
- Self esteem
- Provide case management as liaison between family, student and send school district's Child Study Team as well as to community based social service organizations.
- Communicate with sending school districts and parents/guardians in regards to the completion and updating of educational plans, instructional guides and annual reviews
Requirements
- Master's Degree In Human Services Field
- LSW required, LCSW preferred
- NJ School Social Worker Certification Required
- NJ School SAC certification preferred.
