Full Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in supporting Workday Application projects.
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the deep assessment of the impact of restructuring our cost center hierarchy.
- This project will be executed in waves, aligned with our financial project schedule.
- The Project Manager will work closely with our capacity team to assess downstream system impacts and will manage and coordinate the entire project to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that aligns with the financial project schedule, detailing phases of the cost center hierarchy restructuring.
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Assessment Management:
- Lead the deep assessment conducted by the capacity team to evaluate the impact of the cost center hierarchy changes on downstream systems and processes.
- Analyze assessment results and provide insights and recommendations to leadership on how to mitigate risks and address potential issues.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of progress, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review project status, gather feedback, and adjust plans as necessary.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues related to the cost center hierarchy restructuring and downstream system impacts.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Ensure issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
Requirements
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the capacity team, IT department, finance, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless coordination of efforts across different phases of the project.
- Oversee the actual implementation of the new cost center hierarchy, coordinating efforts across all teams involved.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track project progress against milestones and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, including performance metrics, risks, and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Post-implementation, review the project to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvements in future projects.
- Implement best practices and process improvements based on project outcomes and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Workday Application support.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects involving financial systems and cost center hierarchy changes.
- Strong understanding of Workday's financial management modules and how cost center hierarchy impacts downstream systems.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with change management and the ability to lead teams through organizational change.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex assessments into actionable project plans.
- Familiarity with financial systems and downstream impacts in a large organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require occasional travel to other company locations.
- The Project Manager may be required to work outside of regular business hours to meet project deadlines.
