Project Engineer (Site Design)

Hire Resolve's client, a leading Civil Engineering firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer specializing in Site Design. This position is based in Hillsborough, NJ.

• Lead and design a diverse range of projects across various sectors including multi-use, residential, commercial, and educational
• Manage and oversee site design projects from concept to final approval, including stormwater management, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, site investigation, and adherence to state and local design standards
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and contractors
• Participate in client meetings and maintain client relationships

Requirements

• NJ Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred (Certified Municipal Engineer (CME) a plus)
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in land development and site design, including sketch plans, ordinance review, site layout, grading, utility design, sewage planning, Green Infrastructure stormwater management design, erosion and sedimentation control, and NJDEP permitting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (HydroCAD and HEC-RAS skills preferred)
• Familiarity with NJDEP Flood Hazard Act Rules and permits, NJDEP Freshwater Wetlands Rules and permits, and regional approvals
• Strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Capacity to manage and design multiple concurrent projects
