Full job description

We are looking to hire an experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our assisted living facility in New Jersey as a Physical Therapist.

The assisted living facility provides care to a wide range of patients which will include adults and the elderly, and a wide range of pathologies from spine to extremities and jaw. In this setting, you will be working with patients from the initial date of injury, post-operative, to patients suffering from chronic pathologies.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Patient Load: 7 patients per day, totaling 30 patients per week

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patient mobility and function.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems and adhere to medical terminology standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current New Jersey State Physical Therapist License in good standing.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a commitment to personalized care.
• Familiarity with EMR software (such as WebPT) is a plus.
